Its All Good!

Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. And let endurance have its perfect result, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.
(James 1:2-4)
Christians ought to always be optimists knowing that whatever happens is in the hands of our sovereign God. And He loves us! We should consider it all joy because God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. (Romans 8:28)
This is not a promise that you will never experience suffering or sorrow, rather a promise that you certainly will. But, even in the midst of suffering and sorrow, you can have joy. It is the settled joy and peace of God knowing that the Lord has everything under his perfect control. He is indeed working all things, even suffering and sorrow, together for your good.
There are a couple of little words in those verses in James 1:2-4 that we should remember: Consider it all joy. Again, its all good because its all working together for our good. When you encounter various trials. It is not if, but when. All of us will encounter various trials, sometimes minor and sometimes crushing, that randomly and expectantly come into our lives. Remember, nothing is random with God and nothing surprises or frustrates His wonderful, sovereign plans for us.
You can consider it all joy knowing that God uses the trials in our life to grow and strengthen our faith. He is preparing and spiritually maturing us for the incredible future joy of eternal life with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. So its all good! Maranatha!
