Yep... Its the Train!

But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, in which the heavens will pass away with a roar and the elements will be destroyed with intense heat, and the earth and its works will be burned up. (2 Peter 3:10)
Although there continues to be world-wide economic, political, cultural and spiritual deterioration, most people still naively believe; "There is light at the end of this tunnel". However, the light in the tunnel is the coming train and there is going to be a world-wide train wreck.
Don't think that I'm just an eternal pessimist. Actually, I'm very optimistic about how all this will work out because of what is known as the "rapture" of the Church; For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain will be caught up (raptured) together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these words. (1 Thessalonians 4:16-18)
Christians, along with the rest of the world, may very well have to live through some very hard times in the months and years ahead. But the really hard times will happen after the rapture of the Christians during a seven year period of time known as the "tribulation". Jesus Himself told us; "For then there will be a great tribulation, such as has not occurred since the beginning of the world until now, nor ever will. Unless those days had been cut short, no life would have been saved; but for the sake of the elect those days will be cut short." (Matthew 24:21, 22)
So if this world and all its works will someday, and maybe someday soon, be totally destroyed, what should we do? The Apostle Peter tells us; Since all these things are to be destroyed in this way, what sort of people ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness, looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be destroyed by burning, and the elements will melt with intense heat! But according to His promise we are looking for new heavens and a new earth, in which righteousness dwells. (2 Peter 3:11)
As the Apostle Paul wrote to the Thessalonians: Therefore comfort one another with these words. Maranatha!
