The Days of Noah

For the coming of the Son of Man will be just like the days of Noah. (Matthew 24:37)
His disciples asked Jesus, "Tell us, when will these things happen, and what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?" (Matthew 24:3) Jesus answered them, "For the coming of the Son of Man will be just like the days of Noah. For in the days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until Noah entered the ark, and they did not understand until the flood came and took them all away; so will the coming of the Son of Man be." (Matthew 24:37-39)
There are similarities between our present day and the days of Noah; Then the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great on the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. (Genesis 6:5) Noah warned of God's coming judgment for over one hundred years and yet, only Noah, his wife, his three sons, and their wives, entered into the safety of the ark. Everyone else on earth at that time, estimated to be as many as one billion people, perished in the flood.
Just like in the days of Noah, most people today are spiritually dead, separated from God; futile in their speculations, their foolish hearts darkened. (1 Peter 1:18) They live as though God doesn't even exist; The fool has said in his heart, "There is no God." (Psalm 14:1) They have rejected or are willfully ignorant about what the Bible says concerning God's coming judgment; For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth in unrighteousness... (Romans 1:18)
Like Noah in his day, we who walk with God and believe His word, are His ambassadors today, warning anyone who will listen to Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ; Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making an appeal through us; we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him (2 Corinthians 5:20, 21)
