The Pursuit of Happiness

How blessed are those whose way is blameless, who walk in the law of the Lord. (Psalm 119:1)
Often I have heard someone say, "I just want to be happy." Admittedly, I have said that a few times myself. Most people are seeking happiness in all the wrong places. Some possessions, experiences and human relationships can bring temporary happiness, joy and blessing. But lasting happiness, joy and blessing is only found in a trusting and an obedient relationship to the Lord Jesus Christ; How blessed are those who observe His testimonies. who seek Him with all their heart. (Psalm 119:2)
One day Jesus was refuting the false teaching and blasphemy of some Jewish leaders; While Jesus was saying these things, one of the women in the crowd raised her voice and said to Him, "Blessed is the womb that bore You and the breasts at which You nursed." But He said, "On the contrary, blessed are those who hear the word of God and observe it." (Luke 11:27, 28))
Do you want lasting happiness, joy and blessing? Trust the Lord. Read, study and then obey His Word; Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of the prophecy, and heed the things which are written in it; for the time is near. (Revelation 1:3)
