For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. (Ephesians 6:12)
There will come a day when all of the people on earth, like all those in heaven, will do the will of God and live in His kingdom; Your kingdom come. Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. (Matthew 6:10). But for now, the unbelieving people of earth are blindly following after Satan, their king; We know that we are of God, and that the whole world lies in the power of the evil one. (1 John 5:18)
No one knows the exact day or hour or even the year that Jesus will return for His church, which is to be followed by a seven year period of devastating tribulation on earth and the establishment of His earthly kingdom. But Jesus did tell us that we can look at developing events and know that He is near; Now learn from the parable of the fig tree: when its branch has become tender and puts forth its leaves, you know that summer is near; so, you too, when you see all these things, recognize that He is near, right at the door. (Matthew 24:32, 33)
As information technology has advanced exponentially with computers now able to accumulate, store, and retrieve vast amounts of our personal information, many wonder what would happen if all this power were to fall into the wrong hands. The Bible says that it will! Before Jesus Christ returns to earth to establish His righteous kingdom, a man known as the Antichrist, will gain political, economic, military and social control on earth during the seven year tribulation period. This evil man will be personally indwelt by Satan. He will no doubt use all of the stored accumulated knowledge to subdue and control his evil, world-wide kingdom.
As they say, "Resistance is futile!". At lease on a human level. There is already far more information stored about us than we can even imagine. And this information can and will be used against those who resist the powers to be. But our struggle is not against flesh and blood (humans), but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.(Ephesians 6:12)
This spiritual battle must be fought with spiritual armor and spiritual weapons, i.e., the word of God, and in His strength alone; Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might. (Ephesians 6:10). Don't worry or be afraid of what is coming. We have the comforting words of David recorded in Psalm 23; The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want..... I fear no evil for You are with me. Maranatha!
