Fear God, Not Man

Let the nations know that they are but men. (Psalm 9:20)
It may, at times, seem like the world is out of control and that God has forgotten us. Obviously, God has given unbelievers over to their depraved minds; And just as they did not see fit to acknowledge God any longer, God gave them over to a depraved mind, to do those things which are not proper, being filled with all unrighteousness, wickedness, greed, evil; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, malice; they are gossips, slanderers, haters of God, insolent, arrogant, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents, without understanding, untrustworthy, unloving, unmerciful. (Romans 1:28-31)
What a horrible list of sinful attributes! Unfortunately, these sinful actions and attitudes which proceed out of depraved minds are increasingly common, even admired, in our world today. Since they refuse to believe in the God of the bible, they have no fear of God or of coming judgment. They even mock those who warn them of coming judgment, the need to repent, and believe the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ; Know this first of all, that in the last days mockers will come with their mocking, following after their own lusts, and saying, "Where is the promise of His coming? For ever since the fathers fell asleep, all continues just as it was from the beginning of creation." (2 Peter 3:3-4)
They were saying the same things back in the days of Noah and then the flood came and everyone, accept Noah and his family, perished; But by His word the present heavens and earth are being reserved for fire, kept for the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly men. (2 Peter 3:7)
God is patient towards sinners, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance. But His patient will eventually run out. Jesus Said, "Do not fear those who kill the body but are unable to kill the soul; but rather fear Him who is able to destroy both the soul and body in hell." (Matthew 10:28). Maranatha!
