But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him. (James 1:5)
Someone has well said that life is a series of small and large decisions. As Christians, we should always strive to make not just good, but godly, decisions. Here are six steps that will help you to make Godly decisions:
1. Ask God for wisdom. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. (Psalm 119:125)
2. What does the Bible say? Your testimonies also are my delight; They are my counselors. (Psalm 119:24)
3. Listen to your conscience. Pray for us, for we are sure that we have a good conscience, desiring to conduct ourselves honorably in all things.(Hebrews 13:18)
4. Seek godly counsel. Without consultation, plans are frustrated, but with many counselors they succeed. (Proverbs 15:22)
5. Now, do what you desire. Delight yourself in the Lord; and He will give you the desires of your heart. (Psalm 37:4)
6. Then, move on and don't second-guess your decision. Commit your way to the Lord, trust also in Him, and He will do it. He will bring your righteousness as the light and your judgment as the noonday. (Psalm 37:5, 6)
