Judgment Day is Coming

And inasmuch as it is appointed for men to die once and after this comes judgment. (Hebrews 9:27)
Ready or not, a judgment day is coming when each of us will stand before God and be judged by Him. There are two very different kinds of judgments revealed in the bible. However, both judgments are on the basis of what we say and do in our life, the motivation of our heart and whether or not our name is written in God's "book of life".
One Judgment is exclusively reserved for all unbelievers whose name is not written in God's book of life, and will determine the magnitude of their eternal punishment in hell; And I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne and the books were opened; another book was opened, which is the book of life; and the dead were judged from the things which were written in the books, according to their deeds... If anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire (eternal hell). (Revelation 20:11,12, 15)
The other judgment is exclusively for all believers whose name is written in God's book of life and will determine the magnitude of their eternal reward in heaven; In the future there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that day, and not only to me, but also to all who have loved His appearing. (2 Timothy 4:8) Behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to render to every man according to what he has done. (Revelation 22:12)
You would think that the assurance of coming judgment and the fear of eternal hell would motivate unbelievers to repent and receive the free gift of salvation in Christ Jesus. But like we once were, they are still spiritually dead and unable to respond to the gospel of Jesus Christ; And you were dead in your trespasses and sins... (Ephesians 2:1)
You would also think that those of us who are spiritually alive in Christ Jesus, would be motivated by the assurance of our coming judgment day when we will be rewarded for our faithfulness and obedience in this life. Your judgment day is coming. Are you ready?
