You will be hearing of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not frightened, for those things must take place, but that is not yet the end. (Matthew 24:6)
Since 1948, there has been numerous wars, rumors of wars and disturbances in and around Israel. But in recent years, there has been an exponential increase in the formidable political and military power of Israel's many enemies, even threatening Israel's continuing existence.
Jesus told his disciples that wars and rumors of wars would be a sign of His coming and the end of the age; For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and in various places there will be famines and earthquakes. But all these things are merely the beginning of birth pangs. (Matthew 24:7, 8)
Only God knows the exact day and hour of the rapture of the Church and the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ. However, we are told to watch for the sign's, including wars and rumors of wars involving Israel, God's chosen people; Now learn from the parable of the fig tree (probably representing Israel); when its branch has already become tender and puts forth its leaves, you know that summer is near; so, you too, when you see all these things, recognize that He is near, right at the door. (Matthew 25:32, 33)
You don't have to be a horticulturist to see that summer is near for Israel and that the Lord is near, right at the door. The question is, are you ready for the imminent return of the Lord Jesus Christ?
