Liars and Lying

I said in my alarm, "All men are liars". (Psalm 116:11)
If there is one sin that has reached epidemic proportions, it is the sin of "Lying". Not really surprising since the spiritual father of all unbelievers is the devil; You are of your father the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth because there is no truth in him. Whenever he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own nature, for he is a liar and the father of lies. (John 8:44)
Lying is habitual and pervasive among those who are children of the devil. In contrast, the children of God should always be consistently truthful before God and all others. Truthfulness is a mark of a true Christian. Our veracity and devotion to the truth is crucial to our ministry as ambassadors of Christ and His saving gospel; Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord, but those who deal faithfully are His delight. (Proverbs 12:22)
Of course, the big lies are that there is no God or His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ; That there is no coming judgment or eternal punishment in hell; That you can achieve righteousness and salvation apart from faith alone in the finished work of Jesus Christ alone; Who is the liar but the one who denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is the antichrist, the one who denies the Father and the Son. (1 John 2:22)
"Just the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, so help me God"; And you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free. (John 8:32)
