Things that make you go Hmmm...

So, you too, when you see all these things, recognize that He is near, right at the door. (Matthew 24:33)
Jesus told His disciples that no one but God knows the day or hour of His second coming, but that we can know when the time is near; "Now learn the parable of the fig tree: when its branch has already become tender and puts forth its leaves, you know that summer is near; so, you too, when you see all these things, recognize that He is near, right at the door." (Matthew 24:32-34)
"You will be hearing of wars and rumors of wars..." (Matthew 24:6)
"Many false prophets will arise and mislead many." (Matthew 24:11)
"And in various places there will be famines and earthquakes." (Matthew 24:7)
"Then they will deliver you to tribulation, and will kill you, and you will be hated because of My name." (Matthew 24:9)
"Because lawlessness is increased, most people's love will grow cold." (Matthew 24:12)
"For this reason in one day her plagues will come, pestilence and mourning and famine..." (Revelation 18:8)
"Woe, woe, the great city in which all who had ships at sea became rich by her wealth, for in one hour she has been laid waste!" (Revelation 18:19
There have always, of course, been wars and rumors of wars, false prophets, famines, earthquakes and economic collapses. And people have always been self-centered, lacking true love for others, persecuted both Jews and Christians.
I'm certainly not claiming to be a modern-day prophet or predicting dates for the end of the world. I'm just reading my bible, watching the news about all the unfolding and unprecedented events all around the world and wondering... Is He is near, right at the door? Hmmm... Maranatha!
