Wisdom From Above

By George Stroh

November 7, 2022

There is an appointed time for everything. And there is a time for every event under heaven. (Ecclesiastes 3:1)

As most of you know, in addition to writing these weekly commentaries, I am privileged to be the Pastor-Teacher of Maranatha Bible Church in Glendale, Arizona. Lord willing, I hope to continue this shepherding and Bible teaching ministry until the Lord calls me home or I lose what brain cells remain. As my granddaughter said, "Papa you aren't old-- just kind of older".

Over the past fourteen plus years I have published over 500 weekly commentaries and I want to thank each one of you who have faithfully read them and often even passed them along to others. However, I feel that the time has come for me to pause writing these weekly commentaries and, so, this is my last one, for at least a while. By the way, all of the commentaries are archived and can be found on the Maranatha Bible Church website; www.mbcaz.org under the "Wisdom From Above" webpage.

Lord willing, my plan is to now try to write a book which will be a compilation of many of my past commentary writings. The working title of the book is "Wisdom From Above-- Words from God to help you live wisely in a foolish world". Those of you who have followed my commentaries on eschatology know that I believe our Lord is returning for us very soon with the rapture of His Church, so this book may never get finished! For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trump of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these words. (1 Thessalonians 4:16-18)

May our magnificent God continue to abundantly bless each of you and I hope to see you soon here, there or in the air!

Maranatha!
