Debt Slavery

The rich rules over the poor, and the borrower becomes the lender's slave. (Proverbs 22:7)
The world's "golden rule" is not; "Treat others the same way you want them to treat you." (Luke 6:31) It is; "Those who have the gold rule over those who don't".
Our national debt today is over $27 trillion and growing at the rate of about $3 million per minute. Total consumer debt in America is about 15 trillion with each citizen carrying an average personal debt of almost $100,000. Our total national debt, including unfunded liabilities like Medicare, Social Security, and pension fund obligations is estimated to be over $100 trillion. The late Senator Everett Dirksen once said, "A billion here, a billion there, and pretty soon you're talking real money!." Now its a trillion here, a trillion there!
Whether personal, business, or governmental, debtors do become like slaves and God does not want those who belong to Him to be slaves of anyone else. We don't have much control over the national debt, but Christians ought to take seriously God's warning about our personal debt obligations which can lead to a form of slavery to men; You were bought with a price, do not become a slave of men. (1 Corinthians 7:23)
The rest of the world is in no better financial shape than the USA and in most cases, even worse. This won't end well for most people (poor debtors). The elite (rich creditors) are currently looking for ways to manage the growing debt problem, probably with some kind of financial "reset" or universal debt forgiveness program and a "new world order". This might be the opportunity for someone (antichrist) to offer a socially acceptable solution, rise to power and establish his world-wide kingdom. Keep watching and praying!
